‘An Evening with the California Baptist Jazz Band’

Under the direction of Dan St. Marseille, the high-energy nationally renowned Cal Baptist Ensemble performs jazz styles including swing, funk, Latin, vocal jazz and ballads from the Swing Era of the 1930s and 40s. The CBU Jazz Ensemble is dedicated to performing music for standard jazz ensemble with a foundation rooted firmly in the music of past masters. With a repertoire spanning the entire history of large jazz ensembles, the Jazz Ensemble also performs present-day compositions and collaborates with composers, artists, and clinicians from the jazz community and helps train members in jazz improvisation and theory skills.
