FESTIVAL 2023:

The thrill of live jazz in paradise…

TICKETS ON SALE – JUNE 1

The Blue Jay Jazz Foundation’s Festival 2023 will be presenting an amazing lineup of world class jazz, big band, and dazzling virtuoso musicians.

The BJJF is one of the most scenic jazz festivals for fans to enjoy taking place lakeside in the majestic mountains of Southern California. “This is a respite for music lovers to swing and dance away the blues”, says Chris Levister, Blue Jay Jazz Foundation Board President.

The immersive 3-day live jazz experience included two evenings; Thursday and Friday, August 24 & 25 at Arrowhead Lake Association’s Tavern Bay Beach Club. Evening lineups included Grammy Nominated, Lisa Haely and The Zydekats for a fun fill concert of Americana/Cajun/Zydeco music and Lao Tizer Band featuring Grammy Award-winning Eric Marienthal, and the sultry vocals of Maiya Sykes.

Thursday evening musical performances also included the award-winning Cal Baptist University Jazz Ensemble with special guest performances by the 2023 Blue Jay Jazz Foundation Future Generation Jazz Scholars.

Saturday, August 26 the party moved to Lake Arrowhead Resort and Spa for a early afternoon of live jazz with Grammy Award-winning George Whitty and the George Whitty Trio & Friends in the grand ballroom.

Best of all, the 2023 Jazz Festival is for a good cause – Proceeds help provide instruments, equipment and music making opportunities for our local youth.
