2024 PolaRotary Bear Plunge a huge success. Dr. Hugh Bialecki and team of ‘Village People’ took 1st place for costume.

Thanks for your support.

Congratulations Hugh Bialecki and the gang of brave jumpers and supporters.

Jumpers clad in colorful ‘Jumpin’ For Jazz’ tee shirts plunged into the icy waters of Lake Arrowhead during the fourteenth annual PolaRotary Plunge at the Lake Arrowhead Resort & Spa beach, Saturday, February 3rd, 2024.

Participants ran, walked, and danced (some even tip-toed and others contributed but chickened out), all for good reason. Styled after fundraising “walk-a-thons”, participants solicited contributions to support the jumper’s charity of choice.

The money collected by the “jumpers” is split 50/50, up to $1,000.00, between their charity of choice and the Lake Arrowhead Rotary Foundation. All money raised above $1,000 goes entirely to the jumper’s charity of choice.

HELP KIDS GET INSTRUMENTS AND MUSIC INSTRUCTION.

MEET – AN – INSTRUMENT

Don’t miss this opportunity!

A key program within the Blue Jay Jazz Foundation‘s annual education initiative involves lending instruments from a maintained instrument bank built by used instruments donated from individuals who no longer play them and from manufacturers and retailers who contribute instruments to the effort. It’s all part of the Blue Jay Jazz programs encouragement of helping young people grow and understand the power of performance, the far-reaching value of musical knowledge, and gain appreciation for different forms of music – both classic and contemporary.

The Blue Jay Jazz Foundation’s Instrument Bank is a fantastic way for older community members to help younger students from RIM Unified and throughout our mountain community take their first step into the world of music.
